The Ghana Black Stars have fallen to 70th in the latest FIFA Men's World Ranking. The team dropped five positions after previously occupying the 65th spot. They lost 25.73 points in the updated rankings.
The decline comes after a challenging start to their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign. The team's performance in recent matches has contributed to their drop in the rankings. The loss of points reflects a combination of results and head-to-head comparisons against other teams.
Ghana's national team has historically been a strong contender in African football. However, recent performances have raised questions about their consistency. The team will need to improve in upcoming matches to regain their previous standing. The 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualification remains a key focus for the squad.
