A 20-year-old co-pilot was identified as the sole fatality in a fatal Learjet crash in Florida. The plane, a Learjet 60, crashed in Palm Beach County on 1 November 2025 during a flight from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas. The pilot, Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, was among nine people on board.

The co-pilot sent a chilling six-word text to her boyfriend before the crash. Family members identified her after the aircraft nosedived and crashed. The distress call included a scream of "We're out of time," according to reports.

The Learjet was registered to an LLC based in Delaware. The crash occurred suddenly, with no prior indication of mechanical failure. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.

This is the second fatal plane crash involving a Learjet 60 in Florida this year. The previous incident involved a similar model and resulted in multiple casualties. The National Transportation Safety Board is expected to release a preliminary report within weeks.

The crash has raised questions about pilot training and aircraft maintenance. Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras earned her flying licence at 17, highlighting the early start of many aviation professionals. The family has not commented publicly on the incident.
