The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Okezie Kalu, announced that the South-East region has decided to support President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 re-election. Kalu stated that the region is prepared to return the APC-led administration for another term as a sign of appreciation for Tinubu's leadership.

Tinubu is also planning to assign Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, a key role in his re-election campaign. Wike is expected to coordinate activities in Rivers State and the FCT. This move aims to utilize Wike’s political network without formally placing him within the administration’s hierarchy.

In addition, music legend KWAM 1 has mobilized support for Tinubu’s re-election bid. The artist also campaigned for Kano State Governor Abba Kabir-Yusuf and other APC candidates. His efforts took place during a public event in support of Tinubu.

Former Zamfara State Governor and APC-PCC DG, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, expressed confidence in the party’s campaign strategy and divine favor during a pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. Yari joined Tinubu and other Nigerian leaders for the Umrah pilgrimage, which the presidency described as an opportunity to seek divine guidance.

Tinubu’s campaign has seen increased political activity as the 2027 elections approach. His re-election bid is being supported by regional leaders, key political figures, and public figures. The campaign continues to gain traction as the election date nears.
