A Learjet 60 crashed in Florida, killing all nine people on board. The victims included a Texas entrepreneur, his wife, their two young children, and the flight crew. The crash occurred near a trailer park in Palm Beach County.
The aircraft, valued at $2 million, was en route to the Bahamas from Texas when it encountered severe weather. Pilots flew through a storm and the plane suddenly stalled, likely between 35,000 and 37,000 feet. It began a rapid descent before crashing and exploding in a fireball. All victims were identified.
The crash happened in 2024, during a period of heightened political attention in Florida. The state was a key battleground in the presidential election, with Donald Trump winning its electoral votes. The crash occurred separately from the election, but the timing coincided with national focus on Florida’s political landscape.
