Barr. Princewill Dike, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, praised President Bola Tinubu and former governor Rochas Okorie Wike for their commitment to development during a recent presidential campaign rally. Dike spoke with journalists shortly after the event at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt. He described the rally as a defining moment in the state’s political history, emphasizing the shared vision between Tinubu and Wike for economic growth and infrastructure improvement.
Dike noted that the rally brought together key stakeholders and highlighted the APC’s focus on development projects. He mentioned ongoing efforts to improve public services and create jobs, aligning with Tinubu’s national agenda. The event also underscored the party’s strong presence in the state, with local leaders expressing confidence in the administration’s ability to deliver on promises.
The rally took place amid heightened political activity ahead of the 2027 general elections. Dike’s remarks reflect growing support for Tinubu within the state, as the APC continues to consolidate its influence. The event also came after recent challenges, including the controversial endorsement of Tinubu by APC leaders in the North-East, which sparked internal debate. Despite these tensions, the Rivers rally reinforced the party’s unity and its commitment to development-driven governance.
